Some black and white sketch explorations from round 1. The goal was to try to caputure the more intimate urban environemnt of early Baghdad, as well as try to recreate the nostalgia of early fan-favorites in the franchise.
3D PROCESS
Details
The key art utilized several different elements in its production, including custom-posed 3D character models rigged and textured in Blender, kitbashed 3D environments, as well as custom textures and photography and hand painting. It was a great experience working with the Ubisoft developers in France to make sure the pose for Basim was just right.
